A significant chapter in Balochistan’s human rights struggle has come to an end. Mama Qadeer Baloch, Vice Chairman of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) and one of the most prominent advocates for enforced disappearances, has passed away after a prolonged illness.
Voice for Baloch Missing Persons confirmed his death, stating that his body is currently at Arya Hospital. He will be laid to rest in his ancestral town of Sorab, while details regarding the funeral prayer will be announced later.
A Symbol of Resistance and Hope
Mama Qadeer Baloch was not just a leader; he was a symbol of resilience for thousands of families affected by enforced disappearances in Balochistan. Despite personal loss, physical hardship, and constant pressure, he remained steadfast in his mission to seek justice for the missing and dignity for their families.

ماما قدیر بلوچ: لاپتہ افراد کی توانا آواز خاموش ہو گئی
تنظیم کے مطابق ماما قدیر بلوچ کی میت اس وقت آریہ اسپتال میں موجود ہے، جبکہ ان کی تدفین ان کے آبائی علاقے سوراب میں کی جائے گی۔ نمازِ جنازہ کے وقت اور مقام کا اعلان بعد میں کیا جائے گا۔
جدوجہد کی ایک علامت
ماما قدیر بلوچ کا نام بلوچستان میں لاپتہ افراد کے مسئلے کے حوالے سے ایک علامت کی حیثیت رکھتا ہے۔ انہوں نے برسوں تک لاپتہ افراد اور ان کے لواحقین کے حق میں آواز بلند کی، شدید مشکلات، دھمکیوں اور جسمانی کمزوری کے باوجود اپنے موقف سے پیچھے نہیں ہٹے۔
وہ نہ صرف ایک رہنما تھے بلکہ لاپتہ افراد کے خاندانوں کے لیے ایک حوصلہ، ایک سہارا اور امید کی کرن بھی سمجھے جاتے تھے۔ لانگ مارچز، احتجاجی کیمپ اور مسلسل جدوجہد—یہ سب ان کی زندگی کا حصہ رہے۔
انسانی حقوق کے حلقوں میں سوگ
ماما قدیر بلوچ کے انتقال کی خبر پھیلتے ہی انسانی حقوق کے کارکنوں، سیاسی و سماجی حلقوں اور لاپتہ افراد کے لواحقین میں گہرے رنج و غم کی لہر دوڑ گئی۔ کئی حلقوں نے ان کی جدوجہد کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ ماما قدیر بلوچ کی آواز خاموش ہو سکتی ہے، مگر ان کا پیغام زندہ رہے گا۔
ایک ایسا خلا جو پُر نہیں ہو گا
ماما قدیر بلوچ کا انتقال صرف ایک فرد کی موت نہیں بلکہ ایک ایسے عزم، حوصلے اور مزاحمت کا خاتمہ ہے جس نے برسوں تک مظلوموں کو آواز دی۔ ان کی جدوجہد آنے والی نسلوں کے لیے ایک مثال رہے گی۔
